Question

I found a side chain on my compressor and was wondering what this is used for. I am also looking for a way to use my compressor for more than one channel. I have the alesis 3630, it has two channels but I want to use it on 6 different drums, is there any way to do this. I have a 24 channel mixer if that helps any. Thanks again.

Unhappy

if your compressor has a mono in and mono out, you should be able to run a mono output of your board into the compressor, and run out of your compressor into the recording medium...if not try running an effects loop through your board as you record the drums.
the effects loop is the better route.
