Hey Friends--
Seems like I can't open a pro audio magazine without reading a dozen ads for pre-amplifiers. As far as I understand it, my recording console has built-in pre-amps in the gain/trim controls. I've never noticed a problem with them. Does paying for a seperate pre-amp significantly improve the quality of your sound? Or is it one of those optional things that you can live without for a long time? Any thoughts you have on the subject are greatly appreciated. |
