The 80's had pac-man, but you couldn't do this.

For the coming holidays I'm looking to create a recording set up out of a computer. Now I was wondering what is the minimum requirements of setting a computer and sound card to do this, and conversely what would the best computer and sound card set up for doing this be. Don't even worry about software or other periphial equipment. Thanks, I've been searching around for this info for days but all these company web sites are more intrested in getting me to download demos rather than providing me with good info.

there's a search function on this bbs. Search through the newbie and soundcard sections. You'll get lots of great info. Once you've digested a fair bit of that, post again giving lots of details as to what you want to use your recording set up for.

I need a sound card with 8 inputs and a computer capable of running software that professionaly multi tracks and edits sound. I just wonder what's the minimum computer requirements I'd need to run this and what the maximum or preferred requirements would be and some price info.

Well... that depends on how much money YOU have to spend.
