Crossroads
I'm trying to decide on a new digital mixer, preferrably 24 channel
capability (well they all say 32 ch) anyway Tascam DM-24 = bad history from: TMD1K, 4K, 8K, I've heard of system failure, mixers not turning on at all, and after playing with the DM-24 it seems a lil confusing, not as easy as most digital mixer where you can operate simply from the panel -- this will take some weeks through the manual ---- hence time plus it doesnt feel very PRO like STATUS, it's very lite, guess the big perk is ANTARES & T.C. Works Yamaha 02R = beautiful board, but arent they on the way out, by that I mean Yamaha is making a 2000 series something... beside it's been out for eons, it's a great board but at 5G tops 4 it's a tough call. I plan on spending around $3200 Roland VM-C7100 = if no one has heard this damn thing is nearly ALMOST/ the equivalent of the DMX-R100 - I had two valid people say the same thing -- I'm leaning toward this one at $2500 virtually you have 96 ch/ eq, efx, each channel, mic modulation, matrix patching etc... plus it looks VERY PRO-AUDIO problem, cant find them ANYWHERE --- if anyone has a clue ---- please let me know I just would like some outside insight to help my process in choosing |
