keyboard player looking to buy a HDR for about $600, need some help

I have a Yamaha P80, and I am looking to record myself. I don't know much about HDRs but I have been doing some research. My conclusion is the more I research, the more confusing it gets. I want a machine that will hook up to my keyboard and allow me to copy to a cd. My instructor who plays different instruments will probably record the bass and electric guitar on the songs I am working on.

I don't know how many tracks I need or 16 bit vs 24 bit. I just want to have fun recording myself. Need help. I've looked at the following:

1. Boss BR8
2. Zoom MRS 1044
3. Fostex VF08

Are any of these machines good, or are there any other machines in my price range I should be looking at.

Right now computer recording is out of the question. I appreciate anybody's help.
