Question vf08 No Drive! please help

I recorded a show this weekend to my vf08. My brother listened to it yesterday and it sounded good. I turned it on today and the screen says-
Service 05
self check
No Drive! I hit enter then says
atabusck-enter again
fail midi!-enter again
spidf error-enter again
check NG 11000001
my songs won't play and I can't get into them. I can read there titles on the screen but not enter. What could this be?

I got the "No Drive" message once when i by mistake had plugged a headphone cable into the "ST OUT". After shutting down, unplugging and restarting, it started up like nothing had ever happened.

If nothing else helps, as a last check, unplug all cables including the power cable, and let the VF sit for at least an hour. This will get rid of any static electricty that might be causing the problem.

I get that any time I have my foot pedal plugged into "Foot SW" when I turn the unit on. Just turn it off, unplug the pedal, and turn it back on. Hopefully your problem is similar??? I freaked when it first happened to me. I hope that's all it is. When you figure it out, please post your solutionin case I get the same thing later!!!

Ah, right. It was the footswitch jack in my case, too. Not the st out jack. I've covered the footswitch jack and forgot about it.

Saw arlo's other post, guess it's ok now.
