APSLive drivers continued

HI folks,
I'm posting this in the CEP forum, because the dudes from the souncards forum wouldn't give me any satisfying answer. (I'm not angry or watherver, just dying to fix this prob)

All right then, here's the point:

Is it cool to use APS Live drivers v1.84 with my sb live! soundcard
if I only use CEP for recording and mastering?
Will it give any improvement on the audio streams management of my damn PC??

Second:
I'm using revalver to play at home without waking up the neighbours, and I could manage a low latency by setting the highest priority in the task manager, and tweaking the settings a bit (by the way, have you ever noticed that the size of the packets had to be a power of 2? like 16,32,64,...,256, 512 for the damn Live thing to stop clickin and poppin?), but I can still feel it when playing fast tempo riffs though. Again, would APS drivers improve this regretable prob???

thanks for for your forthcoming help (I hope).

"cheers, big ears!"(Chopper)
