vh1 had a btm on them last night.

the lead singer guy was like "well, he like wrote up a bunch of guitar riffs and I sang over them and we had a record."

wow...its THAT easy?? Their 1st(and 2nd) cd is incredible yet based on this show it took them like a weekend to write it..

frusterating......

naturally creative people annoy me.

I don't think there's anything particularly creative about Creed's music whatsoever, but that's just me.

Honestly, I hated Creed until I saw that BTM. Now that I understand a bit more of what Scott Stapp's life has been like, and where his songs come from, I've got nothing but admiration for the guy.

They're better than most rock bands.

unlike most bands their lyrics are very meaningful and sound great at the same time.

BTM is an amazing show. I don't care who it is, I'm sucked in and glued to the end of each episode!!!

I'm tiring of the Creed formula, but it has served them well.

My wife introduced me to their music when My Own Prison first hit the airwaves, describing them as a combination of AIC and Pearl Jam.. throw in a distorted guitar that sounded as if it ran through a filter (that is, a fuel filter for a 1970 Pinto) and that just about summed it up for me..

I don't think I ever heard their albums all the way through, probably because you never hear the singer sing out of his range on the hits, and I'm afraid to take the risk of sitting through an entire cd of that.. (uh.. and I know looks have nothing to do with music.. but that white t-shirt, and his dukeboy haircut in the videos really make it difficult to take him seriously)..

On a positive note, Mark Tremonti is a pretty cool guy (if his interviews are any indication)..

now this IS a matter of opinion...I hate creed, their songs are boring, the lyrical content is rediculous, and Scott Stapp is an idiot. I can't stand religious music...and I don't care if they say they're not a christian band...they make me...uncomfortable...and their music seems...really bland, I'm not supprised they threw their album together so quickly. they are artists...just, in my opinion, not very good ones.

any band that can put together an album in one weekend better be all hoped on something not sleeping, cause that's just lame, and I think we should be standing on a picket line demanding their crusifiction instead of wasting a 1/2 hour in front of that evil box listening about the trials and tribulations of a bunch of morons who are good at sounding like some combination of real bands that definitely put a bit more thought and time into their stuff.

What's the hurry?? if they are THAT GOOD why don't they spend a little time in their work and release better stuff??
I don't try to say that what they do is not worthy... but... In my humble opinion I think they lack that special something...
