back up copies of n-Track

I'd like to know how many n-Track users here have made back up copies of the program, just in case Flavio ever decides not to continue and takes his site and download facility permanently off line. Is making a back up straightforward? I've tried once but the copied program loads but doesn't work, despite legit. Reg. codes.

Cool

At this late date I don't remember what the cost was, but when I got my registered vresion it came with a CD. You might email Flavio and inquire.

I have a CD, but it's version 1 point something. I'd like to have a back up of version 2.3. I think I'd have to pay for one from Fasoft. As I've already paid for the on-line version that would mean paying twice. I'm wondering if the program is disabled in some way so that you can't copy it. It's no big deal, I'm not expecting Flavio to disappear any time soon. Just wanted to have a copy of 2.3 as a safeguard.

I downloaded a copy of the shareware version so I could do a rapid reinstall. Just download it, save the file to CD and then it's ready to install and reg.

Atwork
Sounds like you are just trying to make a copy of the N-track folder???? Windows doesn't work like that.

You just need to save a copy of the .exe file that installs N-track: "ntrck_sw.exe"

I keep copies of all the different builds that I download from Flavio's site (I separate them into different Build folders since you can't rename the software file), just in case a new build doesn't work properly and I have to go back and reinstall the previous version.

Every so often I'll burn a CD of downloads and include all my versions of N-Track installers on it so that I can pull them back if my system has any problems.

I'm pretty sure I did copy the .exe file. Probably something just went wrong with that particular burn. I'll try it again. I really just wanted to know if anyone else was bothered about making back up copies. Glad to hear somebody is. Thanks for replying.
