Check out these tunes, for an idea of the great quality possible with n-track
Looking for reviews on this material...songwriting, playing, mixing, anything. The CD is already done and for sale, and I'm just looking for responses from other recording types. The address is http://www.mp3.com/sittinidol
Thanks a lot Rick http://www.mp3.com/sittinidol |

Piece of advice........ I'm not sure you're willing to hear it......
Lose the vocalist. If it's you singing: sorry. I reminds me of Lost century. Same thing. Vocals are hopeless.

Sounds good Rick, is that the free N-track? I tried to f*#@k with it once, I didn't spend too much time with it though. Vocals are hard to come by. Good job.

Are those drums canned (they sound it)?? If they're real they need work, if they aren't then you want to use better sounding samples....
Overall, the couple of songs I heard sound very "scooped" in the mids... like you used a smiley-face EQ curve on them.... You're on the right track, but I wouldn't use those songs as demonstrations of N-Track's quality -- it just isn't there yet....... Sorry....... Bruce |

Well I just listened to one tune and I find nothing wrong with the vocalist. Sounds good to me. Keep up the good work

Maybe I'm imagining things, but wouldn't this whole discussion fit better in the mixing clinic forum? Wait, no, I'm not imagining things, it should be over there. This forum is for stuff about n-track, not just because you used it...
Of course, I'm no moderator so...ah whatever... ![]() BTW, check out the n-track website to find examples of recordings done on the program. http://www.fasoft.com/users_sites.html Sonny I wont even bother to add that I used n-track to record "Slips through My Fingers at http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/.../singles.shtml because that would just serve no purpose and would be shameless, and reprehensible and stuff.

Actually, I upgraded from n-track to Cubase and made some pretty snazzy recording with it! Just hit my website and you can hear how much better Cubase is than n-track. Of course, my recording skills improving over the past year have nothing to do with that...
And, by the way, if you like my songs please listen to them over and over so that my ratings on mp3.com can go up. And, by the way, did I mention something about n-track yet so that I could post in this forum? ![]() Not to harp on ya, SittinIdol- but that's what this old thread looks like. Its been a while, though, hasn't it? I certainly can't fault you for responding to the folks who posted here and bumping it back up to the top. Er...well, 2 months IS a long time to post a reply, but... Take care, Chris |

It's amazing how someone can break net ettiquette, record a less than perfect song, and get comments like the kind from Gidge and Blue Bear. Let the punishment fit the crime! In that spirit, to sittinidol I say: i really, really don't like your song, and I don't think it was appropriate to post this request to this forum.
To Gidge and Blue Bear: you guys are being assholes! |

![]() This knob asked for feedback, and so I posted... simply because he didn't like the fact that I wasn't impressed by his clip, he decided to waste my time with some rather rude email.... So no... if anyone is being an ass, it's this twit. Bruce |

Oh, I see. Sorry. Gidge was still being a jerk. Unless I'm unaware of something that sittinidol emailed him privately.

I can imagine this "causing riots in mosh pits everywhere" simply because people are annoyed by it, and can't wait for the main act to come on.

comingsecond,
the dude just annoys me....quite a few times hes posted little shenanigans to get people to his mp3.com site....im not even going to it..... such ploys have been "guess which vocal mic we used for these songs" in the mic forum.... "do you think these songs have a chance at making it big" in the marketing forum "let me know if you want any of these songs on the Comp CD" in the Comp CD forum "Have a listen to these tunes" in the Guitar Forum i would say the bulk of his posts at this BBS are ploys to get people to his mp3.com site..... so if that makes me a jerk or an asshole, oh well....i won't hold it against you personally, comingsecond, since you were just looking at my post in the context of this one thread and im looking at it from the context of ALL of his posts..... |
