what gives .. .cant record unless the buffers are set just so but then i get clicking and more clicking..

woudl a faster cpu, more ram solve this?

faster cpu, better soundcard.. it's that simple.. actually if you pay the bucks you only need a new soundcard..

Ok so i will upgrade this week then. I will go from 394mb ram/PIII500 to a 1gig ram/PIII 1.5

for a sound card i am using a motu MKII with its core sound card.

so this you think would address the prob for the most part?

I sure do appreciate your resposes

yea that will fix any problem you have a 2408mkII is a great card. why 1igg worth of ram though? somethines haveing over 512 slows down the computer. look at getting a Athlon Xp processor... they are faster, more stable, and cheaper than any intel.

hmmm i can't see that would do any good m8... you're allready way above my league in computer and soundcard yet i'm having no trouble at all...
i still say it's a buffer/device/driver problem...
