Yo Compatriots of Recording and other things relative:

Just noticed some dramatic price drops in Roland recording gear.

In MF, latest issue:

Roland VS1880HD - 1599
880 HD - "499.00"

My guess? New stuff on the way. Maybe DVD recording. Maybe something with an understandable manual? [They need that, and so does Yamaha.]

I already have the Yam 2816 and am waiting for a free video of instruction. This was a freebie for registering my unit with Yamaha.

Better gear is coming for sure.

Yo Mike:

You can get a CDR burner for less than 400 bucks; however, I can't say that you would be getting anything exceptional.

Phillips makes some burners that are el cheapo but, they may work.

If you buy a cheap CDR, suggest you audition it and see how it works and what it can do.
