Korg D16

I'm thinking about getting my first digital recorder. I guess the Korg D16 has been discontinued but I see plenty for sale out there.
Is there much difference between the D16 and the D12?
Would picking up a used D16 be the way to go?

Yo D & W:

Used is NO GOOD. You would never know how much beer has been drizzled down the faders on any unit. [I have a rule in my home studio -- NO DRINKS in the studio. Recording only in the studio.

Every 90 days there is a transformation in electronic products; so, if you got a two year old product, it would be about 12 years old via technological ratiocination. [Bruce will like that phrase!]

As to product, read the site and choose your own.
