WISE PEOPLE HAVE A CRACK AT THIS... plz.

Can any1 tell me what's a good software for looping the strings and the pads so that they don't "clip"... this really is a problem. I never seem to get it right.

If you have an app like Acid or Fruity Loops you can do something like the I've done in the attached image.

In this case I cut the pad loop with and extra 1/8 Note of time at the beginning and end (5 beats). Put in two identical pad tracks. Faded in the beginning 1/8 Note and ending 1/8 Note with a volume envelope. Then alternated the two tracks, overlapping by 1/8 Note.

I don't have any experience with hardware sequencers , but I'm sure you can do the same thing. The key points are these:

1. Make the loop longer than one measure.
2. Fade in the beginning and fade out the end of the loop.
3. Overlap the beginning and ending fades by alternating two separate tracks.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the image! I've used Sound Forge and many other software for years but I've never used Acid. Although, I have Acid Pro 2 on my HD, I'll try the thing u displayed. One of the pads (sample) I use in the song is only 3 sec, but it sounds awesome, so I intend to use it... so thanks for the info. I'll keep u posted how it progresses. Btw, did u check my stuff att www.mp3.com/clubzero ?
