Something wrong with these monitors?

Bought some Behringer Truth B2031 a couple months ago from the local shop. They sound pretty decent for being from Behringer and my buddy who uses Mackies in his studio recommended them as well. At the time I thought I got a pretty decent deal $470 for the pair, when Mail Order companies were selling them for $650 not including the $60-70 I would have to pay for shipping to Alaska.

I got my new American Musical catalog today and they are now selling them for $399.99, that is a pretty hefty cut.

I was wondering if anyone heard that these have major defects or something. Or is it that Behringer just wants to sell them and try to redeem themselves as a company? (Which probably won't happen, even though I like these monitors, the mixers I have messed around with absolutely suck!)

One of the main reasons prices were cut is the difficulty in obtaining replacement parts and overall Customer Service from
Behringer. Though, I believe that a USA Behringer Cust Svc Center
was opened in Seattle Wash, the fact still remains in the overall
awful response to consumers tryiong to recieve info at their
Germany Cust Service Dept!

over here in germany price was also cut from 1500dm to a little bit over 900dm. that's more than a third!
Well, i think that's their way of product placement. or maybe they dont't sell at all.

i will get drunk now.

goodbye
