normal for n-track???

During playback it get a stutter and sometimes a lockup when I click on the time line to rewind or fast forward. I do this when applying volume envelopes. Is this normal? If I stop play, rewind, and then hit play it's ok. It will happen with one track and no effects. Cpu load only 2% or so. I can record 4 tracks while playing 2 tracks no problems. I have played back 12 tracks while mixing no problem. If this is just a quirk of n-track I can live with it, but it is a pain, doing all that clicking to avoid a lockup.
Set up:
1. Asus CUSL2-C intel 815EP chipset
2. P-III 733
3. Ark-24\96
4. Dual boot win 98 OS
5. Quantum 7200 RPM 40 gig HD
6. System is optimized using article off tascam site.

Tim,
I just upgraded to v-3.0. I don't know why it does this because it just started doing it about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have done a total reinstall and upgraded to 3.0.

Sorry, be more specific.... which build of 3.0 (there have been several and the early ones were buggy). Flavio puts out a new build about every 1 1/2 - 2 weeks.

I'm using build 1190 (look in the About N-Track item under the Help menu) and it's working fine for me.

Tim,
me too build 1190. Do me a favor and try clicking quickly back and forth on the time line and see if it does it.

Nope. Solid for me.

Have you tried updating or reinstalling your video drivers???? (Just a guess.)
