A Symphonic Ballad

This is a work in progress.
I am trying ot compose music for it.
I sorta have a "Impossible Dream" kind of melody in mind.
I am in the process of learning how to play a synth so, it is going pretty slow.

Any critique would be appreciated.
This was written for a female voice.
The subject of the piece is the Olympic games.
(some people have thought of this as a patriotic piece.)

I’ve been here before
At least, in my dreams
I’ve heard the trumpets blare
I’ve seen the banners stream

Five rings to ride
Our dreams are now reality
Ride above the clouds on high
As fast as the brightest beam

It’s now time to reach deep inside
It’s time to put us to the test
It’s time to set our sights
It’s time to do our best……..

This is our final chance
Our one and only chance
To be the best we’ll ever be
