Vegas Trick?
I have several takes of an accoustic instrument (say a cello) which are set against some "finished" piano wavs. I edit the 4-5 takes down into a finished product and render the file. I want to delete the "raw" cello files and insert the rendered wavs of the finished cello file. When I do this, whenever I open the Vegas file, I get wavs missing.... I check ignore missing files, but it happens every time I open that song. Without just starting a new song from scratch and putting the wavs in it, is there a way to save the Vegas project and not have to tell it to ignore missing files (which I have both deleted from the Vegas project and often from the harddrive) Thanks in advance.

Try saving the new project under a different name.

If you've deleted the tracks from the project, clean media pool should do it without saving as a different project.

You got.... tried it on a test and it worked perfectly...... I doubt if I would have found that in the manual (which I purchased in paperback and did read cover to cover)....
Thank you gentlemen! |
