line in doesnt record??

i had cool edit 96 and the line it worked,, now i got the cool edit pro and luv it,, but i cant get the line in to do anything.. is there a setting somewhere?
i went into my settings and enabled the line in as a recording device btw.

Wut? Are peeps using the same ol' cracked version or what???... seems to be a recurrent problem...
Is there any sound when you run stuff through your line in at all?

i get sound through my computer speakers ,, it just doesnt record it. i had the same problem with cool edit 2000 also. I luv the hard limiting too .. i just had to say that.

Hmm.. you're definitely doing something wrong then.. just can't figure out what...
Anyway. Just set CEP to record your soundcards audio output then, untill you figure out what you're doing wrong. That works like a charm.

Well...... I am new to this stuff so, I could be wrong but, it sounds like you might need to update your drivers.
Check the software manufacturer's or your computer manufacturers web - site.

did you do this in both the soundcard mixer and also in CEP? (options/settings/devices)
Another thing, make sure that your line in's are not muted!
