falsetto

So I’m driving home and I’m listening and singing along to Operation Mindcrime, and I notice the points where Geoff Tate breaks into falsetto.. Is it possible to achieve a good falsetto tone from practice and technique, or is it some innate talent that some of us have and some of us don’t?

And if good tone can be developed for this range, then can the strength of the falsetto be developed as well? How is it that some people can maintain the same volume and intensity in both ranges? Or is it their mic technique that evens out the level?

All I know is that my falsetto sounds worse than the Bee Gees, which has discouraged me from trying to sing that way and instead singing in my normal chest register.. Plus, if I try to sing falsetto as loud as my other ranges I feel considerably more strain on my vocal cords.

Although I’m fairly comfortable in my current vocal technique, it would be nice if I could sing higher and sound good doing it instead of taking everything down an octave, which sounds adequate but dampers my confidence..

Yes, practice with falsetto will improve it. Practice with felatio will also.

alright.. is that practicing receiving felatio or giving it? If the latter, I think I'll just skip the lesson for today.

falsettos can be very powerful and just like everything else practice at it. Try to control your breathing and remember that you dont need to breath harder to be louder. Your power comes from your stomach.

Cyrokk, have you considered cutting your balls off. You may be able to achieve the same effect or is it allready to late for that?
Is it possible you wouldnt go down on your beau and she cut your balls off?

Cyrokk, listen not to Dragonworks, he doth not know what he sayeth.

Castrati were an extremely important part of the opera world, and the world of Shakespeare. http://www.usrf.org/news/010308-castrati.html

Falsetto:a form of singing or speaking by men using an extremely high voice
His voice rose to a high-pitched falsetto.
For his role as a young boy, he had to speak in a high falsetto

Castrati:A male singer castrated before puberty so as to retain a soprano or alto voice.

Save your balls, just learn to sing high
