FX plugins won't work ??

I can't get reverb & chorus effects to work audibly in cakewalk 8.
I have tried in console veiw. I am able to patch them in & enter details (pre sets) in dialog boxes & tried the same for the trak view but even when I hit audition I still hear no effect. I would appreciate any advice..thanks

You can make your audition longer...
Use the effect on the console view instead. You can edit the effect on the fly from the console view.
Rightclick on the box on the channel you wish the effect on, pick your poison (effect). Start playing and singleclick on the text in the box and voila...effect editing on the fly...
