Okay...how the heck do you tell the midi drum track (Session Drummer) to record so I can save the dadblasted thing? (I have Pro Audio 9) Its playing fine....just can't record it so as to close out my file and call it back up again. I have to re lay down my drum tracks. Obviously then, they are recording just by hitting the "Arm" command.
According to my Cakewalk Power book, in the console view I click on the drums track and click the "FX" button. The only thing that is driving me nuts is, the FX buttons are grayed out, not highlighted. I clicked around the drum's area one time and for some fortunate reason the first "FX" button highlighted. I was able to then instruct it to record. ONly thing is, I forgot to extend my drum loops and it played only 11 measures. So, I had to redo it. Now, I can't get the dumb thing to highlight again so I can resolve that. So, I'm assuming I'm missing one dumb little step. Please, pullll EEEZE tell me what that step is??? Egads.... bloozguy |

You must have the track you want the FX applied to selected. I had the same problem and the solution was not completely obvious.

Yeah in the studio view just click on the track to highlight it.

Thanks all...that little advice did the trick. Garsh, I wish some things were more obvious in the book. I know, its a bit like writing html, or other things in that working with it you probably develop an intuitive sense after awhile. But, egads how frustrating to begin once again as a "newbie"....thanks!
I'm thinking of investing in the "Smart Loops" cds...but, just messin' around now to get a feel for stuff. Bloozguy |

bloozguy,
Don't feel bad, using Session Drummer is many, many miles south of Intuitive... |
