Angry How to make loops sound like the oringinal in ACID???

I'm doing hiphop and everypone says the basic bpm is between 83 and 100, but when I put a loop from soundforge into Acid it only sounds right if i switch the bpm to something around 140 or click on use original sample bpm option.

I'm so confused I've been trying many things that don't work for about a week or more.

Is there any way I can set the bpm to soemthing like 86 in Acid and have the sample still play like it would from the original source? Please help! I've been using acid and soundforge for about a month and still can't get a simple beat finished.

Thanks!

alright!

I figured to change this by changing the number of beats in Acid's properties for the loop, but it still only plays rith for certain samples. The sample that sounded okay, after I edited it 1/5 shorter it wouldn't sound right no matter what I'd do.

Do loops in Acid have to be a bar in length atleast or what, I'm really confused. thanks!

Spend some time reading the help file in Soundforge-- There should be a topic called "Acidizing" -- it is very helpful.
