MIDI problem with recording notes

Hey...

I just want to record midi notes with my keyboard. Cakewalk is able to record events made by the wheel (some bend down/bend up effects) but doesn't recognize any events made by the notes.

I tested my configuration with a little testing program that comes with my Turtle Beach sound card and everything looks great. The program tells me there is activity on Channel 1 when I press down the notes and the wheel.

Why, once in Cakewalk, I can record events coming from the wheel but not from the notes? I tried with another program and I still have the same problem. I also make sure there's no filter of any kind activated that could filter out the notes.

Anybody can figure out what's wrong?

thanks..

d.
