Talking Some songs for you to rate...

I posted up a link to a song a little while ago, and I got some good feedback about the mix and the recording etc... Well, I've done a couple more tracks, and opinions are welcome...

So, all in MP3 format - the first two are the new ones and the third song is the one I posted a while ago (in case anyone missed it).

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

Crawling Inside (4.73 megs)
Extreme (3.74 megs)
Grain Of Sand (2.69 megs)

hey,

nice vocals on crawling inside.

I think the whole mix needs a dose of high end. I like everything else about it and think its quite balanced, but it needs high end.

This might just be the encoder though.

peace

Smile

Thanks for the feedback.... um ok, High End - I'll make a note of that. The problem I have is that it will sound superb (well ok, really good) comming out of my PC, but then maybe not so good comming out of my sterio...

Thanks again for the input...

Dave.

Scriabin is on a distinguished road
i'd spread the mix out some more. it sounds like everything is happening dead center in the stereo field. perhaps pan the rhythm electric guitar hard left then record re-record an identical part and and pan it hard right with a tad of delay and a slight reduction in volume. i agree with cyanjaguar about the high end, perhaps small boost near 16khz will give it some increased air.
