sonic quality of loops programs

I bought Acid Techno 3.0, a loops program. (Don't ask why; I have a cunning plan, m'lord.) It's fun, but the samples that are included with the program are at 16/44 and they SOUND like it.

I don't suppose there exists beatbox software at a higher resolution?

Hopefully,

As ever,

dobro

Hmm. I understand your concern. Is there anything in the program's properties that signifies that ACID can theoretically work with higher resolution files? Maybe it's just the samples that *came* with it?

But anyway, comon, you dont really need your beat samples to be that high-resolution
After all, they are made to be mixed in with lots of other stuff at once... You may be able to tell the difference when you play the sample by itself, but when you add a bassline here and a couple of synths there, it won't mean a thing to your ears.

Just my humble reasoning.

Dimmi - no, it's limited to 16/44. Maybe you're right. Maybe beats and loops should sound low rent.

Gargamel - thanks - it's good to know that higher res loops are out there if I want them.
