Question Midi recording problem

Hey...

I just want to record midi notes with my keyboard. Cakewalk is able to record events made by the wheel (some bend down/bend up effects) but doesn't recognize any events made by the notes.

I tested my configuration with a little testing program that comes with my Turtle Beach sound card and everything looks great. The program tells me there is activity on Channel 1 when I press down the notes and the wheel.

Why, once in Cakewalk, I can record events coming from the wheel but not from the notes?

Thanks!

-david.

Check to see that cake is set to record the midi channel you are sending. Check to see if cake is set to filter out note messages. Let us know if either of these was the problem

Yes, i'm recording the right channel, which is Channel 1. I tried Midi Omni and Midi channel 1 and it does the same thing : It only records the wheel events but not the notes.

I also verified if any filter was activated but its not the case.

If you can figure something else, please let me know!

thanks ... ; )
