Name the effect

Hi, I was wondering if someone could identify a sound effect that I'm trying to emulate. It is the effect placed on Kid Rock's voice in his ballad "Only God Knows Why", its the flippy voice trick. Don't really know how to describe it. Other pop artists have used it including nsync, etc. If possible, can someone tell me where I can get it. THANKS!
