New 3.0 problem

Hello,

Well I guess it's my month for computer problems. My two other threads here have been solved....I think. Since I needed to reinstall N'track to eleminate the "skipping" problem I've had, I decided to upgrade to 3.0 at the same time.

Now the " skipping" is gone but my songs aren't playing properly. The tracks all appear as they are supposed to in the window but only some of them have audio.

Help! I'm pulling my hair out. I just wanna record.....!

update....

Hello,

Well I think I'm back in business. The missing audio was a plug-in anomally that sometimes occurs when upgrading. Thanks to help from Flavio and at the FAsoft forum I've solved the problem by removing the offending plugs and reinserting.

Yehaaaa! back to tracking.

my two cents about 3.0......

It has a great new look this should be good for attracting new N'track users which in turn is good for Flavio. I wasn't going to upgrade until my problems started up. 2.3 was working fine for me. I'm slowly learning to follow that old rule of thumb....."if it ain't broke don't fix it." But I was "broke".

I'm thankful to Flavio for bringing this fantastic, inexpensive software to me. I look at it this way....there's lot's of multitrack software competition out there and a growing but somewhat limited customer base. In order to keep new things coming for us in N'track we need to support Flavio.

I intend to do just that.

Rusty, post your thoughts after playing with it a while. I'm not throwing out another $30 til I hear some positive feedback.
Thanks.

I may have gotten a bad download or something, because 3.0 locked up my computer so bad I had to pull the plug to get it working again...Went back to 2.3 and everythings fine...I E-mailed N-Track support weeks ago but have recieved no response...I love Flavio's stuff but I may need to go to something else if I can't upgrade to 3.0 with this stinkin Hewlett- Packard....

pouxhawk.

What's your computer spec's and OS? Now is definately a good time to buy a new computer if it's necessary. Here in Austin, home of Dell, a friend told me they have a store that's selling used/refurbished Dell's for a couple hundred bucks depending, I'm sure, on the number of bells and whistles you want. It kinda makes upgrading an old puter a stupid endeavour.

It's a 1ghz P3, 810 Intel Chipset, 512meg Crucial memory, 60/5400+40/7200 gig HD's, HP Pavillion w/ CDR...I know these things become obsolete pretty quickly but this would be ridiculous....The computer runs 2.3 perfectly... I hope N-Track support gets back to me soon. It's been over a week... Dean
