I am using soundscape mixtreme with vegas video 2.0. I add one audio track and set it up for the correct channel. I then try to arm it for recording when an error pops up saying the device is already in use. Now I know no other programs beside the mixtreme control panel are running. I have even tried closing the mixtreme control panel, but that doesn't do anything. I have my routing configured in vegas to be one bus for every channel.(That's eight channels.) I looked in every menu for anything and I can't come up with the solution. Could this be a windows problem? I dunno, if you have any suggestions they are more than welcome!

Have you always received that error message?
Have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the programs?

No I haven't. I had everything running fine when I had win2000 on my system. I think it must be some kind of setting in winxp that I am overlooking, then again maybe not. ?

Goto the Sonic Foundry site to see if they have been experiencing software problems with Vegas Video 2.0 and WinXP.
