Post Sorry if this has already been asked...

Hello.
Firstly, thanks for answering me last post on the board, much appreciated and god bless. For those interested (http://acapella.harmony-central.com/...ML/002044.html)

My 2nd challenge comes up in the category of how i make or create space for sounds i will produce with the production equipment. To be honest i am not even sure if i should really be buying this equipment which i am planning to use in a spare room in my house.

For those who have experience i wish to be guided in the direction of how to setup the ROOM or furthermore the infrastructure of the studio from a physical perspective.

Does anyone have a document on how to setup the layout of the studio? What kind of protection will i need for the walls in the room? Should i build a room? How should speakers be setup? 1 in each corner? How about if i want to add the possility of surround sound in my studio/room? Is all this possible?

I would appreciate help on the above topics. If you have any questions you would like me to go into indepth details about, I'd be happy to do so...

I am around 3 weeks away from buying my complete studio and would like to know in advance if/how i can change/shape things to make the sound near perfect for my room.

Once again thanks for any information, much appreciated.

Tariq

Tariq,

I think firstly you have to give some details...........i.e.; what are you going to be recording. What is the size and construction of the room you hope to use. What type of recording equipment do you currently have or are you considering buying.

All these questions and more need to be taken into consideration for anyone to offer "useable" advice.

Peace........ChrisO
