Talking minimum vocal booth dimensions

Does anyone have any advice on minimum dimensions for a vocal isolation booth ? I have a small room (10' x 11') that my wife is letting me use for a home studio in our new house. What would be a compromise between comfort, function, and floor space for an iso booth ? Any tips on making it portable, movable, etc. ?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help, Silver

The smallest one made by the folks at vocalbooth.com is a 4' x 4' chamber. I can't imagine trying to work in anything smaller than that.

Cheers.

No problem, here are some other sites you might find interesting:

www.whisperroom.com
www.wenger.ent
www.tubetrap.com

Another solution that looks promising can be found at www.markertek.com. Head to their site, and click on "Acoustic Foam" - they have some solutions there at pretty good prices ($595 for a basic single booth setup).

Also, you can do it yourself - this depends on your comfort level with powertools - lol. If you want to do it yourself, but don't have all the right tools and know-how, don't fret. Check out the articles on speaker isolation booths and rooms at www.amptone.com. You can get quite lost on their homepage - lots of good stuff, so here is a direct link:

http://www.amptone.com/g233.htm

Among other things there, they outline a pretty easy method using a couple of hinged closet doors that you can buy at a Home Depot.

Cheers.

Another follow-up - while doing more research on iso booths, I came across a rather interesting site:

http://www.hushabooth.com/

Their product looks like a pretty good solution for a home/basement setup. I've sent in an inquiry for more information ...

Their booths start around $399 or so, and you can get all sorts of options added in, such as a clip-on light, foam upgrades, monitor headphone box (cool!), a plexiglass window kit, etc.

Cheers.
