Laptop Soundcard
Does anyone have any suggestions for a laptop soundcard for under $500.? All I really wanna do to start with is sampling, sample editing, and CD mastering(I have two rackmount VS880's to record my tracks). I want to be able to transfer my samples to my Akai MPC2000xl and trition rack. Multiple(4 or more) inputs/outputs aren't necessary, although I would like to be able to eventually transfer tracks digitally from my VS into the laptop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If the laptop has USB ports, I can think of Roland/Edirols UA-30 and UA-100 that has digital capabilities....

if you go USB, it is also worth considering the EGOSYS ua2...they seem to have good driver support.
