Question 1/4" jacks

not sure exactly where to put this, but here goes:

i'm looking for suggestions as to where i can get pentiometers, 1/4" jacks, and other electronic / replacement part hardware.

i'm fixing a theremin (has anyone here done this?) and an old hollowbody guitar.

thanks

Re: 1/4" jacks

www.radioshack.com
www.mouserelectronics.com
www.digikey.com
www.paia.com
etc

For the guitar parts, I would strongly recommend carvin, or heading down to a guitar store. If the jack is in a plastic pick guard, its probably a cruddy jack anyway (radio shack would have these), but if its in the wood body of the guitar, it might be a specialty jack of some sort. Carvin (and many others) sell guitar parts that might be suitable, and certainly places like guitar center, sam ash, musicians friend (list goes on).

I built PAIA's theramin kit years ago and it was an interesting process. I enjoyed monkeying with it, but never really found it musicially useful. A gave it to a friend of mine as a christmas present years later (I had it in a custom, oiled maple case that was really nice) and he later modified it to work with a CV to MIDI converter, and sends midi to his Korg Triton via his theramin.

Here I thought it was a cute kit to assemble, and stick on my coffee table as a decoration.
