silly shipping charges

I went to the Soundforge site yesterday to order some software. For two pieces of cheap software, the total price came to under $45. I was just about to type in the VISA number, when I noticed the shipping charges for this package was going to be $29! Gimme a break. For a couple of disks? That's like encouraging people NOT to order from them. Doobers.

I've never bought S/W from SF online. But their D/Led S/W has always arrived unscathed. But that's on a cable line. I still bought Vegas at the store after using the downloaded demo for a while.
Guitar Satan was selling it for less than SF!

Ya think they just want to discourage direct sales?

That is the priciest place I've ever shipped to....

Even if you do live on the far side of nowhere relative to SF HQ.

Intuit sells S/W at the low end of the same price-range that they'll send you free with $0 shipping.

Why can't SF just cover the real costs and pass them on?
