Cool 2x3 construction.

Hello folks - I'm new to this forum and new to studio building. I am converting 1/2 of my basement into a studio and plan on using double wall constuction where I can. My question is whether or not people have used 2x3 studs in walls (each faced with sheetrock and a 4" gap between) rather then 2x4 studs. Any experience or thoughts on flex etc?

Thanks

sjoko2 is an unknown quantity at this point
2 x 3 is generally to light, unless you find a bunch of really high grade timbers. Stick to 2 x 4's, less resonance, greater strength.
