Anyone hear of this place?

I just received an e-mail from the band Pretty Blue Gun and thought they had come upon a new (to me anyway....) and novel way to promote their music. Anyone on this board ever hear of this site before?...Anyone use it?....if so, what were the results?

mail-a-song.net

Arrow I viewed the page, and it looks ok.

I guess it seems like a good idea.

How did the music email seem? Did the system work, and how, exactly. The web page implies that it's easier than downloading mp3's, which I agree, is a big hassle, and I rarely do it.

You know, technology and such. People will keep finding clever ways to use the web, this being only one way.

Leave it to the Dutch to come up with a unique idea like "Mail a Song". They're smokin such powerful weed, over there in the coffee shops, that their thinking 'way' out-of-the-box, as compared to most of us.

I was impressed with it actually....and thought it would be worthwhile for bands or artists that are serious about getting their music exposed to the right people (or simply as a promo tool as long as you have the funds to do that...)

Apparently the music streams from their server....and you can e-mail whoever you please. The cost seemed reasonable considering you could send unlimited e-mails for a year.

I'd be willing to forward the e-mail to you that I received so you could check it out if you like (the band is good by the way...) but I'd need your e-mail address to do that. Let me know...
