Question It's called ACID, not SPEED: Why does ACID's tempo speed up during recording?

Exhalted engineers,

I recently installed the MIA by Echo soundcard. Until then I was using a stock Compaq card and recording with ACID and "mastering" (no offense, blue bear) with Sound Forge. I didn't have problems with this setup (except for high noise-to-signal ratio) but now, ACID seems to be speeding up and slowing down on playback, and most infuriatingly during recording, which throws off the whole project! What is the nature of the problem? RAM? Sampling rate (i use 48k)? The new card?
Help!
ROB

Sounds like a compatibility, configuration, or sharing problem with the new card. Instead of recording, try saving the Acid mix as a Mixed Wave File. This method is all software/processor based and doesn't use the soundcard (It's also a lot faster). If the problem persists then my next guess is that it has to do with sampling rate. Are you using different sampling rates within a mix?
