DeArmond Pilot Plus

Hey, i'm looking for a decent bass, pretty much $400 is the budget. I noticed the Pilot Plus is $139 at Sam Ash and a few other places. The reviews at harmony central are pretty good. Has anyone had any experience with this instrument? Is it good?

My Plus arrived in great shape and I really like it....I was one of the lucky ones that ordered from samash and didn't have a prob....the plus is made in Indonesia, the Pro and others are made in Korea....the (P)recision and (J)azz style pickups are great on mine and the active electronics are cool....been playing it through my guitar amp, til I get a proper bass amp, and the sound is sweet and very variable....

check out your local music stores, one might have some that you can play, and they might even match or give you a deal on the price.........gibs
