sans amp rack bass driver

Hi,
I don't know if this is old news for you lot (Americans). I got an e-mail through today from the UK distributer of tech 21. There is now a sans amp bass driver rack mounted version. It has the addition of a mid control from what I can see. The price is almost twice that of theoriginal sans amp; it's kind of like the pod/pod pro thing I guess.

Any thoughts/anyone got one/getting one?

So would you pay the extra then? Rackmount stuff tends to be better generally than stomp box kinda things.

i've got both the Sans Amp Bass Driver DI and the Bass POD Pro. while the Bass Driver DI is great, and i've used it live a lot, for recording the Bass POD Pro is much better. but this is comparing Oranges and Apples.

i've never gone back to the Bass Driver DI since purchasing the Bass POD Pro. i find the Bass POD Pro extremely useful in studio settings. i have no knowledge of the Rack mount Bass Driver DI though, but if the Rack mount Bass Driver DI is similar to the Bass POD Pro, it's probably worth it.
