hey folks,
i'm in the market for a new mixer. i have a little mackie 1202vlz now and need to step up to a 16 channel. i've owned a tascam m16 (shoulda' kept it), a big mackie 32X8, ramsa 16, alesis studio 32, yamaha 01V, 02R and promix. i'm looking for a good sounding analog board. pre's are less important than good eq and routing. the behringer's are so freakin' cheap! what gives? also, any thoughts on allen and heath. any good vintage boards i should keep my eye out for? fwiw, my recorders are a tascam tsr8 i/2" reel and i also use a daw for editing. thanks! tony |

I've been happy with my Studio 32, although since you had and sold one I assume you were not.

Try the Mackie 1642 VLZ Pro.
We use it to live sound and home recording very well. leomazz |
