I would suggest you go with Axis-it's a MUCH better pedal.

The Best prices I've found on Pedals is from Interstate Music.

The Axis A Double Pedal is $400 bucks.
With the longboards (Longer pedals which I suggest if you have larger feet-say US size 11-14) it is $440.

While the DW 5000 Double pedal is $378

It's worth the price difference for the Axis. It's smoother, faster, and more powerful. I've been using Axis pedals since 1990, and I've tried all the others.
The Tama Camco pedal is better than the DW pedal, and the Camco was designed in the mid 1940's!

Yeah, the question is actually for my drummer. I used to play drums and still have my axis single pedal and i LOVE it. I agree that its better than DW. He absolutely refuses to use it. He hates it. I guess its just personal preference....
oh, well..thanks
