how do you get that "Led Zeppelin sound"?

I love Zeppelin's stuff, so take this in that context... but why on earth would you want that? It wasn't exactly the best example of recorded drum sound even back then!

And again - a BIG part of "the sound" was Bonham's playing... buying Pat Metheny's guitar and signal chain will not make me sound like Pat Metheny. Same for drums...

yeah, just reverb the hell out of it and mic the drums from the next room.

You need really BIG drums too. And be sure to get a squeaky kick pedal.

But be VERY careful not to pass out on your back after too many shots....
