hi!

anyone here have the Alesis AI-3 analog to ADAT optical interface?
I would like to connect it to my RME Hammerfall (PC).

please let me know if it could be a working setup for my home studio.

Hi, the AI-3 works well. It's easy to set up too, just plug in the optical in and out. If it "sees" the optical input cable connected, it automatically becomes clock slave. The optical output can either come from the analog input (acting as an A/D converter) or the optical input (in case you need to loop an incoming optical signal).
