Why am I having this plug-in problem in console view??

I've been laying down some vocal and keyboard tracks and all is going well...

...until I try to patch in an effect after recording. I keep getting this error message. Something like "this plug-in requires a different sampling rate or stereo signal..."

I'm recording audio from either a mic pre / mic into the left channel (you have to select R or L in Cakewalk anyway) or direct in from the keyboard...

Anyone know how I can resolve this??

Thanks!

You cant use the stereo effects as a track insert. Try using that same effect in a aux bus..then route your track to that aux buss..

Thanks! I played around with it last night and got most plugins to work in the track (I guess they are not stereo). I'll try the others in the aux bus...

One plugin I tried (my STW Mastering compressor) completely wigged out....flashed on & off very fast...when I tried to use it in the track. I'll try it in the aux bus too.
