Which keyboardist?
Which keyboardist would you like to come back as in the next life?
Why? |

Tony Banks of Genesis. One of the most influencial keyboard players, yet he didn't over-play or show-off like so many of his genre. I've always liked his simple composition style.
Jimmy Smith- Because he has more fun playing the organ than just about anyone else. He improvises so freely when he plays. |

Brent Mydland. Not that I would want to be him, but to have even 25% of that guys raw talent would be a blessing.

Since all the keyboard players that I aspire to are either already alive, or have finished living, it would be difficult to come back as one.
If you were asking, what keyboard player's chops I most admire, it would be Keith Emerson's. Carl

I'd say Keith Emerson because of his technical ability, versitility, and creativity.

Wouldn't it have been cool to be a superstar like Mozart or Beethoven and have unbridled access to all that eighteenth century pussy. Women were wilder and freer back then, they were.

Steve Walsh and Kerry Livgren from Kansas. Because of their classical, haunting melodies. Oh, and Rick Wakeman.

One of 4. I don't care which.
Steve Walsh - Kansas. They Rock! Tom Scholtz - Boston. Just listen to "Smokin'" Billy Joel - Consistently Awesome. The Guy from Dream Theater - that whole band is unbelievable.

It's good to see I'm not the only one who likes Kansas. Especially like the first 3 albums...before they were popular.
Senor Cactus- Dream Theatre has had 3 different keyboardists. Kevin Moore, Derek Sherinian, and now Jordan Rudess. Which one were you referring to ? |

I think I was referring to Kevin Moore.
If he played on the "Images and Words" album, that is. That's one of my favorite albums.
