Yeah man, you've offended the whole damn BBS by now....or, wait, maybe that's me.

Anyhoo, you should keep in mind that a lot of us aren't blessed with lots of bandwidth. I've got cable so I'm not hurting, but if you're on a 56K or worse, it can take a serious amount of time just to download an MP3. It just might take a few days for enough people to take the time to download it and give it a listen. Another thing, you might want to try a place that doesn't require you to register to download the music and doesn't take forever to get something "approved" like MP3.com. Try just getting a free homepage somewhere and setting up your MP3's there.

I don't particularly care, but to be honest, its also probably not the best idea to pimp your shit to death by saying, "why aren't people listening to my song?"

People will listen and respond...

"People will listen and respond"

Maybe...maybe not. You gotta be in the "buddy-system" around here sondriven...what no one told you? Not getting any response from a tune I post dosen't bother me...hell it might just suck..that bad but what does eat my ass up is taking the time to D/L someone eles'es tune and taking the time to review it and taking the time to coment on it and not as much as a fuck you. Yeah that's real team spirt. There's to many on here looking only for "praise" for there work and not giving a shit about the other guy's down the thread with one or none reviews of their work. And I'm also guilty of that.

Oh yeah I know ...if you don't like it get the hell out? No I'm not getting the hell out, been here to damn long, and besides that I love this place...

I'm as guilty as anyone here when it comes to...oh hell gotta tune just about finished better go and listen to some other guy's tracks so "maybe" just maybe one of them will listen to mine and give me some helpful tips on what I'm doing wrong or "Praise" yeah there's that word again.

When I first come here over two yrs ago...I thought wow this place is going to rock...and it does for the most part, but it's just wishfull thinking on my part that everyone here is going to learn some comon courtesy, and I'm not saying every one dosen't show some, because some " a handfull" do, but it's going to take more than that for this place to rock like it used too. I can't listen to everything that passes through here...but at the same time I would and could listen and review a hell of alot more than I have in the past if i knew everyone else would...but that aint gonna happen...just pissin in the wind.

Sorry I got this off my chest in your thread sondriven, and I'll give you a listen when I get the time tonight...if I aint been banned or something for sharing my thoughts.

I have been here for almost a year and I love the website. I havent left let for that reason. But Im just getting into finally recording some songs and getting them to the mp3 format and it just sucks when nobody will give you a little time. But thank you to J who did listen.

I understand that we are all busy and Im the same way, but for now on since Im posting songs, Im going to try to give someone a listen at least twice a week. Thanks for sharing David. Wanna be my "buddy"?

Sondriven,

I was able to listen to your song because I am registered with Javamusic. For those who aren't registered, it's a pain and most won't bother (even if you posted your username and password).

The only advantage I see with Javamusic is that your MP3 uploads and is available pretty much immediately. However, I am currently using MP3.com because I personally find it very convenient - no req'd registration, hi-fi streaming, etc. Of course you may have to wait for a week or two..... If you want to maximize feedback, you have to make it as easy as possible for users to access and listen. My experience is to use MP3.com (there's an artist package that you don't have to pay for - vs the premium atist package). I'm not sure if I will continue using javamusic.

Just my 2 cents

Talking

Dude, I tried to listen to it, but like someone else said in the origional post, you have to register with the site to hear the music. I didn't realize that at first....I just assumed, like the web virgin I am, that the "page not found" or whatever meant my computer sucks or my browser didn't support..................

Looked again and registered. What the hell. I'm just leery of a site downloading a player or something that conflicts with other apps. I wiped my drive and re-added winders98 a couple months ago just to get rid of RealPlayer! What a parasite!

Anyway, your beat is solid and consistent. I'm not up on midi, but I assume this is all software generated music? Like a lot of "home stuff" I hear, instruments sound full and well-placed but vocals are buried in the back somewhere.

Not to be a dick.....I quit listening about ten seconds after the vocals started because the music, while not my style, sounded good.....but frustrating because I couldn't hear what the hell you were saying!!!!

FIX IT!!! Post it again. I'll listen again.

Good Luck,
Rick
