I have a win98SE system with a MOTU USB MIDI interface. After a session with Cubase, the computer won't shutdown unless I go to the device manager and disable the MIDI interface.
What's going on here? I can boot and shutdown fine, but if I use Cubase (MIDI is used with my MotorMix) it does not. Any help appreciated. |

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your hardware, especially check the motherboard - you might need a bios upgrade. Download any updates you can for your software.

Been there, Done that, didn't work. I have a VIA chipset USB controller which I heard is probably the problem.
