Newbies! Learn the Basix! www.midi-it.com

I just re-designed www.midi-it.com. There is much useful information including General MIDI, vs General MIDI 2, Synchronization, a MIDI Glossary, Windows MIDI configurations, Forums, and much more.

This site caters to Roland users, but there is support for just about every MIDI user. O/S Updates, Patchlistings, XP-60 and XP-80 Flash Tutorials on how to sequence, and much more

Also, midi-it features files for the following programs:
Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic, Digital Performer information. Just go check it out!!

Question oh so sorry

hello,

This is funny, I thought this was a forum that was used to help people. I do appologize to you forum bullys for "spamming" my site. I will refrain from posting things that might actually help people in this "forum".

I welcome any website help links in the midi-it forums cause I know people will benefit from it. Especially if the website relates exactly to the forum topic.

While I'm here, and since I know the forum greats are looking, I've been wondering something...

Does anyone know of a MIDI player plugin that can stream SysEx? or any other way to stream it over the net?

This might actually help people, so I understand If you guys don't want to answer, and instead just flame me.

~gm

I think you're confusing "posting helpful things" with posting an ad for your own site as your first post on the BBS.

Talking 14 = 1

ok, i'm not in the thousands, but i do know 14th is not the same as 1st. I'm beginning to think that they should change the vbulletin titles from "recording genius" to "forum bullys"

love alwayz,
gm

See it from the bright side. Your site got a lot of attention

I didn't select the title "recording genius", which I'm not. I would actually prefer "forum bully" (which in plural should be spelled "bullies")...

Thumbs up Impressive Site

Well, I enjoyed looking at your site. I appreciate all the help I can get. I took the following from your glossary:

Choking:
What happens when the sequencer receives too much continuous data. Result: Tempos slow down and speed up randomly. CHORD: Three or more tones sounded simultaneously preferably harmonious.

I like that word choking, I think that is exactly what is happening to my poor Yamaha PSR-6300. I have posted a question about it in a couple of places (the keyboard fourm and newbies). But so far no one has been able to help me.

Teresa
