Can't integrate Cakewalk and Cool Edit Pro
Hello,
Cool Edit doesn't integrate with Cakewalk. Cool Edit is not in Cakewalk's tool menu either. Nor can I cut and paste between the two using window's clipboard. Any suggestions are appreciated. Regards, Stan |

Make a wave file in CW. Under tools - export your file to a folder that can be remembered for future retrieval. Now open CE and go to that folder and bring it in.

Yeah, that's what I have been doing. It would be less work to bring up Cool edit within Cakewalk however. Thanks for the reply. Anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks, Stan |

I recall a couple of months ago reading a discussion where someone was having a similar problem with Sound Forge. The solution, if I recall, was to manually edit the Windows Registry so that the program would appear on the Cakewalk/Sonar tools menu. Unfortunately, I don't recall the specific instructions.
Do you have any other programs integrated into CW. Perhaps you can search your registry to see how the other program is setup and try to copy these settings for Cool Edit, using the appropriate directory and executable file for Cool Edit. If you don't have any other programs integrated into CW, download a demo of Sound Forge or Wavelab. After installing the demo, you should be able to use them as your "template" for editing the registry. You might also consider contacting CW support. |
